Release date:
JP: 01 Jul 1997 - カラー テレビゲーム15

System: Color TV-Game
Developer: Nintendo
Genre: Light Tennis

The Color TV-Game 15 was released as the more expensive option alongside the Color TV-Game 6, with detachable wired controllers and more games, though all the game mode options are different versions of the famous videogame "Pong". The Color TV-Game 15 has eight versions of Pong; two variants of Tennis, two variants of Hockey, two variants of Volleyball, as well as Ping Pong and a Shooting Game, and all except the Shooting Game can be played in either singleplayer or multiplayer, resulting in 15 games. There's also options to adjust the paddle size for each player and the ball speed.

In Tennis, the ball bounces off of the top and bottom walls, with the left and right sides being completely open for scoring. Tennis A has a tennis net that can change the vertical trajectory of the ball, while Tennis B's net has no influence on the ball at all. Hockey has walls on the top and bottom of the left and right sides, resulting in a much smaller area to score. Hockey A features a center line that closes during gameplay and most be broken through, while Hockey B features no such feature and is much more straightforward.

Volleyball is very similar to Tennis, in that the left and right sides are completely open for scoring. Volleyball A has a volleyball net that can change both the vertical and horizontal trajectory of the ball, while Volleyball B's net can only change the vertical trajectory. Volleyball B differs from Tennis A, in that Volleyball B's net consists of a single thick segmented line, while Tennis A's net is a wavy line of pairs of squares.

Ping Pong has a different view from most other games, being seen from the side of the Ping Pong table. The main gameplay difference is that a small net takes up the bottom half of the screen, which reflects the ball. In Shooting Game, the right paddle moves up and down, acting as a target. The paddle on the left can be controlled and can fire projectiles at the target by using the fire button on the console. Two targets can be made to appear by setting the right paddle to a smaller size.

Two models of the Color TV-Game 15 were released; the 15S and 15V. The 15S is the original orange model. The 15V was released sometime after and has a darker, almost red paintjob. It was built with slightly bigger control dials that would actually stop when the paddle reaches the top/bottom of the screen.
