In this version of Popeye, Popeye is on a boat and must catch various objects thrown by his sweetheart, Olive, who stays in the top left corner of the screen. During the game, Bluto attempts to disrupt Popeye, by attacking him with a hammer from the left side. In GAME B, Bluto will also attack from the right side. The player loses a life if they miss two of Olive's throws or if they are hit by Bluto, with the game ending after three lives are lost. As a cute detail, this game's alarm clock feature is managed by Olive.
