F-Zero


Racing series started in 1990


A series of set in the distant future, F-Zero is a type of racing created to imitate the excitement of Formula 1 racing by bored millionaires looking to be entertained. These games feature twisting courses raced through at ultra-high speeds that allow for unique dynamic movements. The racers range from human bounty hunters to aliens.

A sci-fi racing game in which you control a super-fast hover vehicle and win a set of races in the Knight, Queen and King Grand Prix. Choose 1 of 4 machines with different acceleration rates, top speeds and weights, and race around 15 circuits.

A unique collaboration between Nintendo and one of Sega's studios, Amusement Vision. The game features a cinematic story that revolves around Captain Falcon. An arcade version of this game was released at around the same time, and features a slot for a GameCube Memory Card, allowing save data to be transferred between the two games.
