F1 Race


Racing series started in 1984


A series based around realistic Formula 1 racing, featuring strict time-limits, complex tracks and damage mechanics that require frequent pit stops. The series has a lot of ties to peripherals such as the Famicom 3D System and the Game Boy's Four Player Adapter.

This game comes on a special blue Famicom disk for use with the Famicom Disk Fax service. You could drive an F1 car around a circuit at home, submit your score via the Famicom Disk Fax kiosk, and compete against other players across the country for the best time.

The fifth game developed to support the Famicom Disk Fax service. This shifts from standard F1 racing to rally racing, with courses that have different types of terrain and changes in elevation, and cars that have realistic gearbox mechanics. By collecting items on the course called "Hot Dots", players can gain a significant speed boost.

Choose your car and challenge 9 different circuits from around the world. This game includes 3 game modes: "Grand Prix" mode, a series of races across all 9 circuits; "Time Trial" mode, where you can practice on any track except the final track; and "Multi Game" mode, where you can play 2-4 player races.
